Guest Bathrooms
Provide three fixture (toilet, bath / shower, lavatory
with stone vanity top and wood apron), residential style
bathroom; see example plans for fixture arrangements.
Toilet
Vitrified ceramic bowl and cistern; solid acrylic seat minimum
standard; double siphonic action. Dual flush cisterns may
be required in certain locations. Toilet flushing must be
extremely quiet, not to exceed 17 db.
Tub
Acid resistant cast iron; minimum 1.65m x .8m x .700m high.
Non-slip bottom; integral lift up plug.
Vanity Counters
To be marble or granite with underset vitrified ceramic
basin. Back splash and end splash. Minimum 100mm; counter
minimum 1.2m (1.5 preferred) x .82m high with a 275mm (minimum)
apron to conceal all plumbing.
Basin
Minimum 450mm length; underset ensuring complete seal; integral
lift up plug; co-ordinate colour to other fixtures.
Mixing Valves
Chrome plated brass of first line quality. Separate mixing
valves are preferred. If single lever mixing valves are
used should be non-scald pressure balancing type. Fluctuations
in the water pressure and variations in the cold and hot
water supply temperature are automatically compensated.
Provide fully integrated, residential style, accessory package
with matching metal finish such as polished chrome or satin
or brushed finish; vinyl finishes and ceramics are not acceptable.
Do not include
built-in "institutional style" accessories, such
as tissue dispensers, soap dispensers, bottle openers and
razor
blade deposit slot.
• Clothes Line: Required at resorts and when required
to receive the “star” rating for which the hotel
is designed. If required, provide a retractable wall mounted
clothes line above bathtub.
• Grab Bar: 60 cm (24 inch) at bathtub “wet”
wall. Set grab bar vertically and fasten to withstand 160
kg (350 lbs) force in any direction.
• Hair Dryer: Handheld; portable, plug-in model (not
wallmounted).
• Make up Mirror (Lighted): Optional.
• Robe Hook: Double style.
• Shelves: Provide decorative tempered glass shelves
on designer cantilevered supports at selected wall, as an
example left or right of vanity mirror to display bath<
amenities. Coordinate with wall sconce light fixtures.
