Diffusers, Registers and Grills

Ceiling diffusers shall be square or round adjustable types, with air volume control and equalising grids.

Sidewall supply registers shall be double deflection type, with horizontal face bars and vertical rear bars. An opposed blade damper shall be included.

Return and exhaust registers shall match supply. Fixed horizontal face bars with an opposed blade damper shall be included.

All diffusers, registers and grills shall be aluminium construction and finished as required by the Architect.

Location of all diffusers, registers and grills shall be such that air discharge will not cause noticeable drafts or pockets.

The designer should co-ordinate with the interior designer regarding the location and types of diffusers, registers and grills.

Exhaust air outlet should be located away from the outside air intakes in order to avoid the exhaust air recirculating directly back into the building
