2. Acceptance Criteria
2.1 Procedures
- Documents such as drawings, specifications and hydraulic
calculations shall be submitted to the FC for review before
a sprinkler system is installed, modified and sent to
tender.
- After completion of a sprinkler system, the sprinkler
contractor shall furnish a written statement or certificate
to the effect that the work covered by the contract has
been completed in accordance with the approved tender
documents.
- The acceptance tests shall be performed by the sprinkler
contractor and witnessed by the FC, except as permitted
in (d).
- Subject to the approval of the FC, the acceptance tests
may be witnessed by a representative of the department
or agency concerned and a certificate shall be completed
and duly signed by that representative and by the sprinkler
contractor and forwarded to the FC.
2.2 Documents
- Tender documents such as drawings, specifications and
hydraulic calculations described in 2.1 shall contain
information as listed in Appendix A - 2.2 and NFPA 13,
"Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems".
- Working drawings, specifications and hydraulic calculations
bearing the seal and signature of a professional engineer
shall be submitted to the FC for review before a sprinkler
system is installed and modified.
