hotel fire prompts evacuation

Indianapolis - A hotel fire forced the evacuation
of 150 people Friday morning.
The guests were staying at the Marriott Hotel, located
in the 7200 block of East 21st Street.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 9:15 in
the morning. Smoke and flames were coming from the
fourth floor of the hotel.
According to Captain Harris of the Indianapolis Fire
Department, "A smoke detector went off and maintenance
personnel went to the fourth floor to investigate.
They found fire in an air conditioning unit, and in
the wall and while trying to extinguish it they were
calling for the fire department."
No one was injured in the fire.
The fire, which has been ruled as accidental, caused
