Fire hits hotel; campaign volunteers have
to move

NASHUA, N.H.—At least 100 campaign volunteers,
including 75 who traveled north from Arkansas to work
for Hillary Rodham Clinton, have to find another place
to stay after a three-alarm fire damaged their hotel
on Saturday.

One firefighter was injured. No injuries were reported
among hotel guests.
The campaign volunteers included about two dozen
students and faculty from the University of South
Florida, who were volunteering for several campaigns,
and about 75 "Arkansas Travelers," volunteering
for Clinton's campaign.
"As I was going out down the stairs I was in
room 232 the smoke was pouring out of the ceiling,"
said Pat Glass of Little Rock, Ark.
Assistant Fire Chief Keith Anderson said the flames
broke out in the hotel's boiler room. Firefighters
contained the flames to three rooms on the first and
second floors, but there was extensive smoke and water
damage to nearly three dozen other rooms.
