Sprinklers in the trash room of the Cloverleaf Apartments extinguished two different fires during the second week of December. The fires, which originated in a dumpster inside the trash room were extinguished by a single fire sprinkler head on both occasions. The dumpster room and the adjacent hallway sustained a small amount of smoke and water damage, but had the room not been sprinklered either one of the fires could have resulted in loss of life and, or loss of the entire building. No residents were displaced as a result of the fires. The causes of which remain under investigation.
