Sprinkler Saves London Hotel

Ashley Gorton of Blue Shield Fire Protection has reported
that a sprinkler system has saved the Sanderson Hotel in
central London.
On Saturday 3 December 2005 fire broke out at 21:15 when
a cigarette ignited rubbish left in a bag in a cleaner's
cupboard on the ground floor. One sprinkler operated to
prevent fire spread. The hotel was evacuated but there were
no injuries or smoke damage.The guests were soon back in
the hotel and the sprinkler system was back in service within
three hours
