At 0127 hrs, the St. Louis Park Fire Department responded to a
fire a Byerly's (grocery store) at 3777 Park Center
Boulevard. Upon arrival fire companies found light smoke near the
store entry. The fire, located in a serving area for ice
cream, had been completely extinguished by a single sprinkler. The
cause was determined to be a decorative electric light
which ignited nearby combustibles. Damage was contained to the immediate
area of origin.
